We’re seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance team.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in the monthly financial close process, prepare and review financial statements, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days in the office per week.
This position requires strong technical accounting knowledge, analytical ability, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare and review journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Perform detailed bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain and roll forward key balance sheet schedules and perform variance analysis.
- Accurately record accruals and ensure proper cutoff of expenses and revenue.
- Handle any sort of rebates or refunds.
- Calculate and monitor Work-in-Progress (WIP) balances and ensure proper revenue recognition.
- Prepare internal and external financial reports, ensuring alignment with GAAP/IFRS standards.
- Participate in monthly financial reviews with management to explain variances and support decision-making.
- Support audit requests and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
- Assist with process improvements to enhance reporting and close efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA-eligible preferred)
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a corporate or public accounting environment
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Business Central, QuickBooks preferred) and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) experience
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
