The Role
Senior Accountant
We’re seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance team.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in the monthly financial close process, prepare and review financial statements, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.  This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days in the office per week.

This position requires strong technical accounting knowledge, analytical ability, and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in a timely and accurate manner.
  2. Prepare and review journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
  3. Perform detailed bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Maintain and roll forward key balance sheet schedules and perform variance analysis.
  5. Accurately record accruals and ensure proper cutoff of expenses and revenue.
  6. Handle any sort of rebates or refunds.
  7. Calculate and monitor Work-in-Progress (WIP) balances and ensure proper revenue recognition.
  8. Prepare internal and external financial reports, ensuring alignment with GAAP/IFRS standards.
  9. Participate in monthly financial reviews with management to explain variances and support decision-making.
  10. Support audit requests and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
  11. Assist with process improvements to enhance reporting and close efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA-eligible preferred)
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a corporate or public accounting environment
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Business Central, QuickBooks preferred) and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
  • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities
