Senior Accountant

WHAT WILL YOU DO

• Prepare and submit VAT declarations and other tax reports to the Tax Authority (VMI) on time and with precision
• Ensure the accurate calculation and administration of salaries, bonuses, and other payments
• Experience in payroll is an advantage, but if you’re new to this area, we’re happy to provide training
• Submit reports to the State Social Insurance Fund Board (Sodra) in a timely manner
• Oversee payment execution, record bank transactions, and reconcile accounts with accuracy
• Register invoices as needed or assist junior colleagues with invoice processing
• Provide essential financial data and support timely responses to auditor inquiries
• Assist in refining accounting processes and systems, including testing and implementing improvements
• Support colleagues during the month-end close process and other key reporting periods
• Share your knowledge and experience, mentor junior team members, and contribute to a collaborative learning environment
• Prepare reports, assist with team projects, and carry out additional responsibilities assigned by the Chief Accountant

WE EXPECT YOU TO HAVE

• 2+ years of professional experience in accounting
• Prior experience in payroll calculation is highly preferred
• University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is expected
• Proficiency in accounting software, ideally Microsoft 365 Business Central
• Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken

GROSS SALARY

• 3000 – 3700 EUR/month. Keep in mind that we are open to discuss a different salary based on your skills and competencies.
