Your Impact at Encompass

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting under GAAP, handling complex accounting transactions, and managing compliance with ASC 606 for revenue recognition. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in goodwill, intangibles, sales commissions, and lease accounting, along with strong proficiency in NetSuite ERP.

What You'll Do:

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage revenue recognition (ASC 606), including contract reviews, deferrals, and revenue allocations.
• Oversee accounting for goodwill, intangibles, leases, and sales commissions, ensuring proper accruals and amortization schedules.
• Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts, including deferred revenue and accruals.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and assist with audit preparations and external reporting to lenders and the Board of Directors.
• Collaborate with auditors on interim testing and year-end financial audits.
• Assist in the implementation of new accounting policies and process improvements.
• Optimize and maintain NetSuite ERP, ensuring accurate system integrations and reporting.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and reporting initiatives.

What You'll Bring:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA preferred 
• Qualifications and Skills:
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology company.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP is required.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, including ASC 606 (revenue recognition), ASC 842 (leases), and goodwill accounting.
  • Prior experience with audit processes, either in public accounting or an internal audit function.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to analyze large datasets.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Additional Details

This role will receive a competitive salary + bonus + benefits. The salary for US-based employees located in the below markets may expect offers in the below ranges for this role.

US Annual Base Salary Range:  $90,000 - $110,000 plus bonus program.  A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation, including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above based on these considerations.

Location:  We are a hybrid work environment.  This role can be remote or located in Corporate office located in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Travel:  This position could require overnight travel to corporate offices. Additional travel could include attendance of conferences and trade shows.
