Senior Accountant

NSI is searching for an experienced Senior Accountant who will report to the Regional Controller of our manufacturing sites in the Chicagoland area and assist in overseeing the company's financial accounting, ensuring accurate financial reporting through the monthly and quarterly closes. This position will also help manage the Acumatica and Epicor accounting systems, ensuring accurate and timely financial data is available for operational decision making. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate well at all levels, be able to multi-task, set priorities, and adhere to deadlines.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Prepare financial statements, reports & records

· Prepare month end journal entries

· Balance sheet account reconciliations and in-depth analysis for assigned accounts

· Manage fixed asset reporting

· Ensure internal controls are adequate & compliant

· Conduct financial & profitability analysis

· Assist with financial audits

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance

· 4 or more years of experience in corporate accounting

· ERP experience (Epicor, Acumatica, SAP, Netsuite etc)

· Highly skilled in MS Excel (pivot tables, Vlookup, etc.) and the ability to quickly manipulate and analyze large data sets and build reports

· Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

· Proactive problem solver willing to take initiative to offer solutions and identify opportunities before being asked

· Previous experience with BI reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx preferred
