The position:

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintenance of general ledger accounting, preparation of financial records and reports, monthly, quarterly and annual closing of books, assisting with annual audits and investigation of any discrepancies. In addition to the technical skills of this position you must have the ability to train and mentor junior staff. You will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of the company and Accounting/Finance team

What You'll Do:

  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
  • Prepare financial analyses and reports
  • Assist with preparing and monitoring budgets
  • Assist with annual audit preparations
  • Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and
    entering transactions
  • Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting and
    reconciling transaction and resolving discrepancies
  • Maintain general ledger by preparing recurring and reconciling journal entries.
  • Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-
    compliance
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new or amended accounting
    systems, programs, and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and audit procedures
  • Perform other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned

Who you Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP
  • Strong financial analysis skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organization skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel
  • Ability to train and manage staff
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision
  • This position assists in managing and training employees of the department and is responsible for leadership and performance management within the department

Compensation:

Base Salary - $110,000-$130,000 USD. Compensation will be determined based on the skills and qualifications of the applicant along with the requirements of the position.
