About the Company

Armada is the hyperscaler for the edge, delivering modular AI infrastructure from first deployment to AI factory with speed, scale and sovereignty. Named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies and to the CNBC Disruptor 50, Armada’s solutions are deployed in over 60 countries globally for organizations ranging from energy to defense.

With nearly $500 million in funding to date, Armada is backed by leading investors including Founders Fund, Lux, BlackRock and Microsoft (M12), alongside strategic partnerships with Microsoft, Dell, Palantir, NVIDIA, SpaceX, and Skydio. We are building the infrastructure layer for sovereign and edge AI - rugged, deployable compute for customers that cannot rely on centralized cloud.

Working at Armada means taking ownership, driving autonomy, and delivering impact. You’ll tackle challenges that haven’t been solved before and help build something transformative from the ground up. What you do here will not only define your career but help further Armada’s mission to bridge the digital divide for customers around the world.

About the Role

As a Senior Accountant at Armada, you will be a key member of our growing Finance team, responsible for maintaining the integrity of our financial records as we scale rapidly. You will manage assigned areas of the general ledger function, support month-end and year-end close processes, and partner cross-functionally with teams across the business to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

This is a general GL role with real breadth. Depending on business needs, your scope will span AP, AR, revenue, expenses, fixed assets and depreciation, debt, and leases, and it will shift as Armada grows. Our Galleon program (modular, deployed data centers) is a core part of the business and a meaningful piece of this role, including inventory, CIP, capitalization, and fixed asset accounting, but it is one of several areas you will cover rather than the whole job.

The ideal candidate is technically strong, highly organized, and excited about building scalable processes at one of the most exciting companies in AI infrastructure. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership, and enjoys building scalable processes in a high-growth environment.

Location. This role is remote-based in SF Bay Area, NYC, or Seattle.

Main responsibilities:

General Accounting & Close Responsibilities

  • Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close tasks for assigned areas, following the close calendar and ensuring entries are posted accurately and on time
  • Prepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and adjustments with clear supporting documentation
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations across balance sheet accounts, tie subledgers to the GL, and investigate and clear reconciling items promptly
  • Perform cash and bank reconciliations, and manage prepaid expense tracking and amortization across vendors and cost categories
  • Review GL activity for misclassifications, cutoff issues, and unusual balances; propose and make corrections before the books are finalized
  • Maintain close checklists and supporting schedules; flag late inputs, open items, and risks to the Accounting Manager and Controller
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial packages and flux analyses, explaining variances in terms of business drivers
  • Maintain clean, audit-ready workpapers and support external audit and due diligence requests

  • Assist with technical accounting research, policy development, and special projects as the company grows

  • 4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience. We prefer a combination of public accounting (Big 4 or regional firm) and corporate accounting, with hands-on, in-house GL experience valued as much as audit background. Experience in high-growth or startup environments is strongly preferred

Armada Compensation & Benefits Highlights

The following summarizes recurring compensation and benefits themes identified from responses generated by popular LLMs to common candidate questions about Armada and has not been reviewed or approved by Armada.

  • Healthcare Strength — Health coverage is positioned as comprehensive for employees and families, with additional 24/7 mental-health support. Some postings also describe medical/dental/vision as subsidized, which can strengthen the overall healthcare value proposition.
  • Leave & Time Off Breadth — Time-off policy is described as flexible/unlimited PTO, and some postings cite roughly 14–15 paid company holidays. This combination signals above-minimum time-away coverage for many startup roles, if usage is supported in practice.
  • Equity Value & Accessibility — Compensation is repeatedly framed as a mix of competitive salary plus equity participation, and multiple role descriptions explicitly include equity alongside cash. That structure can increase perceived total rewards for candidates who value ownership upside.
