The Team

Soules Family Farms is a 4th generation, family-owned agricultural operation that specializes in row crop and livestock production, located in Arlington, Iowa. You’ll work directly with ownership and farm staff, and alongside the farm’s outside advisors.

  • Manage day-to-day transaction processing (bill payments, invoicing, deposits and withdrawals) and keep supporting documentation such as settlement sheets, receipts, timesheets, and production records organized and complete.
  • Reconcile cash, loan, intercompany, and balance sheet accounts, and reconcile the financials to the farm’s tax return in coordination with outside tax advisors.
  • Process payroll and payroll tax payments, keeping records accurate and ready for year-end filings.
  • Prepare budgets and budget-to-actual comparisons, and present quarterly financial results to ownership, turning the numbers into clear, actionable insights.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; master’s degree preferred.
  • 7–10 years of accounting experience; agricultural, multi-entity/intercompany, and payroll experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel; experience with other farm accounting or ERP software is a plus.
  • Strong command of GAAP, with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail across multiple priorities.
  • Confidence presenting financial results to ownership and working with lenders and tax advisors; CPA license desired and QuickBooks Online certification a plus.

Estimated Pay Range: $60,000 - $80,000/yr
