We're seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative, and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team and play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization.

What You'll Do
As a Senior Accountant, you'll support the financial management and operations of the credit union by maintaining accounting records, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end closing activities. You'll also provide guidance and support to accounting team members while helping ensure accuracy and compliance across accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and credit union transaction accounts.
- Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities.
- Process payments and verify financial information for accuracy.
- Prepare budget, income, expense, and other financial reports.
- Analyze accounting records and identify discrepancies or opportunities for improvement.
- Review accounting work for accuracy and completeness.
- Serve as a resource and mentor to team members on accounting processes and procedures.
- Assist with special projects and other accounting initiatives as assigned
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of accounting or related financial experience.
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet applications.
- Experience working with accounting systems and general ledger functions.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation: 24/hr-30/hr, depending on experience
