Key Responsibilities
Supports the Head of Accounting in the daily accounting activities for the Bank and its branches, including analytical accounting, in close coordination with senior accountants.
Contributes to the design and implementation of a robust control environment for the Accounting department, enhancing the reliability of accounting and tax processes.
Coordinates with branches’ local accountants to resolve accounting, VAT and income tax matters, ensuring issues are addressed consistently across locations.
Prepares monthly and annual VAT returns for the Bank and coordinates with the external VAT advisor, branches’ local accountants and Group Tax to ensure consistent application of the VAT regime.
Coordinates with Group Tax to prepare the annual transfer pricing documentation for the Bank and its branches, ensuring alignment with group transfer pricing policies.
Supports the Head of Accounting in the production of the annual accounts of the Bank and its branches, contributing to the completeness and accuracy of statutory reporting.
Coordinates with the external tax advisor to prepare the annual income tax return for the Bank, providing the required accounting and transactional information.
Oversees the monthly reconciliation of branches’ statutory accounts to IFRS accounts, identifying and resolving differences in collaboration with local accountants and senior accountants.
Participates in automation and efficiency initiatives related to accounting processes, contributing subject‑matter input to improve systems and workflows.
Your Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or an equivalent field, a Master’s degree or professional qualification in accounting or taxation is an advantage.
4–5 years of experience in accounting.
Experience in accounting for banks and/or financial institutions is required to support IFRS and local statutory reporting.
Experience with Luxembourg corporate tax, transfer pricing and VAT regime is required to support tax compliance and documentation.
