We're looking for a Senior Accountant to help drive automation, transparency, and greater efficiency across Lemonade's financial operations. You'll sit within our Finance team, playing a key role in the month-end close process and the daily financial operations that keep the business running smoothly. This isn't a back-office role — you'll be an integral part of projects that help us scale, with real ownership over the processes you touch.

In this role you'llPrepare and post journal entries and manage accrual schedules with accuracy and timeliness
Own monthly workbooks and take a leading role in key areas of the month and year-end close process
Manage balance sheet reconciliation schedules and perform P&L analytics that surface meaningful insights
Review supplier invoices and expense reports, keeping financial operations clean and compliant
Support cash-related transactions and broader financial operations processes
Drive quarterly and annual external audit requirements, acting as a reliable partner to auditors
3-5 years of experience in public or private accounting, with a record of noteworthy accomplishments
Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial statements
Solid experience working in a month-end close environment and owning processes start to finish
Advanced Excel skills
Experience with Workday ERP is a plus
A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Ready to work in an office environment most days of the week

Lemonade's US base salary range for this full-time position is $95,000 - $112,500 plus equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Our competitive total rewards package includes comprehensive health & wellness coverage, equity, a 401(k) plan with employer match, 20 paid vacation days, and parental leave.
