Qualification:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure assigned accounting responsibilities are completed accurately, timely, and with appropriate supporting documentation.

  • Play a key role in the monthly close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, analyses, and supporting schedules.

  • Prepare and support monthly and annual financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and internal-control requirements.

  • Own and support complex accounting areas requiring sound judgment, including stock-based compensation, intercompany activities and settlements, management-fee arrangements, foreign-currency transactions, FX rates, CTA, FX gains and losses, deferred cloud software implementation and enhancement costs, and significant estimates.

  • Lead monthly flux analysis for assigned areas; investigate variances, identify underlying business drivers, and communicate findings and recommendations to management.

  • Research accounting transactions, resolve discrepancies, and escalate significant issues or risks as appropriate.

  • Support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit requests, financial statement schedules, footnotes, disclosures, and other audit-related documentation.

  • Maintain effective internal controls; identify control gaps, accounting risks, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Develop and maintain accounting procedures, SOPs, and department documentation.

  • Drive process improvements, automation, and efficient use of technology and AI tools within areas of responsibility.

  • Partner effectively with Accounting and cross-functional teams on accounting matters, projects, and evolving business needs.

  • Perform other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned by leadership.

Required Skills, Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of close processes, account reconciliations, and complex accounting areas. 

  • CPA, Big 4 or public company experience preferred

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, audit support, SOX/internal-control requirements, and foreign-currency accounting concepts, including CTA and FX gains and losses.

  • Experience with major accounting systems; NetSuite experience preferred.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and analysis of large data sets; macro experience preferred.

  • Comfortable leveraging AI-enabled tools and technology to improve workflows, analysis, and team efficiency.

  • Self-directed, resourceful, and accountable, with the judgment to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance or escalate issues.

  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, process efficiency, and high-quality work product.

  • Collaborative, hands-on, team-first approach with a willingness to contribute wherever needed.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and remain effective in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail when handling confidential financial information.

  • Healthcare or service-industry experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel approximately up to 30% of the time

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 15-20 pounds

  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for prolonged period of time throughout the work day

  • Ability to use standard office equipment such as personal computer, laptop, telephone, photocopy machine, etc.
