Senior accountant position details:
We are seeking a full-time (40 hours/week) experienced senior accountant who will be responsible for maintaining the company’s accounting records, generating financial statements, and coordinating financial audits.
Senior accountant job duties include:
- Responsible for all accounting and record-keeping duties for Episcopal Community Housing, Inc. and its managed apartment complexes. The company uses a third-party payroll processing firm.
- Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts.
- Process accounts payable.
- Record rent receipts.
- Generate monthly financial statements, which are reported to the respective Boards of Directors.
- Coordinate annual audits of the apartment projects and fully engage with auditors.
- File quarterly sales tax returns.
- Work closely with managers of housing projects, to record rent receipts and process payables timely and to ensure accurate record keeping.

Senior accountant qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in accounting or five years of equivalent work experience is required.
- Industry-specific experience is preferred.
- Must be self-motivated and work independently.
- Must possess strong computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
