Finance & Control department in Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is a part of Global Finance organization and responsible for full accounting and financial reporting cycle for Circle K European operations. Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is looking for:
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Type of Employment: Permanent
Location: Riga, Latvia
Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA (relocation assistance is not provided)
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Ensure accurate and timely accounting and reporting in accordance with Group deadlines and guidelines on a monthly, quarterly and year end basis;
- Financial Statements preparation and participation in audit processes;
- Manage operational issues, resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities faced in accounting and reporting area;
- Ensure close dialogue with Business units and stakeholders in Europe and North America;
- Ensure compliance of internal controls in accordance with the Group’s guidelines;
- Perform intercompany transactions reconciliation, resolve discrepancies and errors;
- Actively participate in improvement projects in accounting/ reporting area.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Strong analytical and accounting skills;
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process;
- Strong process analytical skills and process improvement capabilities;
- Ability to work in a challenging environment;
- Good Excel skills and general accounting systems background (Oracle JDE and Longview is an advantage);
- Fluent English language skills (oral and writing) to communicate with colleagues and stakeholders;
- University degree in economics, finance, accounting, mathematics or similar;
- Solid experience (at least 3 years) in accounting or audit field, preferably within an international work environment;
- Willingness to learn and grow.

Skills Required
