The Position
The Senior Accountant, General Ledger is key to upholding the accuracy and integrity of our financial records Finance is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our financial records and will contribute to the preparation of financial statements, reporting, and internal controls. It works closely with both the accounting team and other departments to provide insights and ensure that the company's financial operations run efficiently. This position will serve as a mentor to Accountants.

Essential Functions
- Closely work with project owners to track, compile, and record CIP costs in GL accounts; close out CIP accounts at the completion of the projects to Fixed Assets
- Responsible for full cycle of fixed asset transactions including but not limited to capitalizations, retirements, depreciation and prepare PPE roll-forward
- Understand ASC842 (lease accounting) to ensure compliance to the standard for lease accounting and related journal entries and reconciliations
- Responsible for the general accounting function including but not limited to accruals, prepaid and amortizations. Complete assigned month-end journal entries and account reconciliations
- Investigate and resolve problems associated with the processing of site invoices, GRNV and purchase orders with Financial Shared Services and Supply Chain
- Ensures accuracy of accounting records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), company policies and procedures
- Assist in monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages
- Assist in month-end reporting and ad hoc analysis
- Provides support for internal and external audits and other accounting projects assigned by corporate or site finance management
- Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties
- Other duties as assigned

- 100% work scheduled based on-site at Bloomington, Indiana facility.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study from an accredited university, required
- Two (2) years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, required
- Public accounting experience, preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, required
- ERP system experience, preferred
- CPA or in-progress CPA, is a plus
- Adaptability and continuous learning, required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail, required
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams, required
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, required
