Why this role is unique
- Own the General Ledger for multiple German legal entities.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting in line with IFRS and HGB.
- Contribute to finance transformation and continuous process improvements.
- Work closely with international finance teams across the AutoScout24 Group.
What you'll do
- Maintain the General Ledger for German legal entities, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and in line with Group accounting policies, IFRS, HGB and local statutory requirements.
- Support the preparation of statutory financial statements, annual audits and other local reporting requirements.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure reconciling items are investigated and resolved.
- Assist with monthly VAT returns and related tax compliance activities.
- Support the global intercompany reconciliation process and collaborate with finance teams across the Group.
- Contribute to system improvements and finance projects that enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
What you'll bring
- University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification or active studies towards ACCA, ACA, CPA, Bilanzbuchhalter, Steuerfachwirt or an equivalent qualification.
- Solid knowledge of IFRS and HGB.
- Experience in General Ledger Accounting or Legal Entity Accounting within a medium to large international organisation.
- Experience with ERP systems; Workday Financials is a plus.
- Fluent German and English.
