What you’ll do ​& Who you are

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant (d/f/m) who is passionate about driving financial excellence.

You will be responsible for our brands (mobile.de and Kleinanzeigen) and report directly to the Head of Financial Controlling for Germany.

This is a hybrid role, and our office is based in Berlin-Charlottenburg.

Our Accounting team in Germany works closely with our local teams (FP&A, Legal, HR), the Central Regional Accounting team in Amsterdam, Central Functions in Barcelona, and Shared Services in Romania and India a broad range of financial activities.

What you'll do:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare month-, quarter-, and year-end close following IFRS and local German GAAP requirements.

• Financial Statements: Prepare financial statements according to German GAAP (HGB).

• Tax Compliance: Reconcile VAT returns and assist in preparing tax returns.

• Balance Sheet Management: Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

• Audit Management: Manage external financial and tax audits.

• Compliance Assurance: Ensure adherence to internal policies (Adevinta Policy) and external (local law) complicance.

• Process Monitoring: Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align between local and central teams in Amsterdam.

Who you are:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Controlling, or a related field.

• Certification: Certified Management Accountant is a plus.

• Experience: At least 4+ years in an accounting role within an international environment.

• Language Skills: (Business) Fluent in German and English.

• Collaborative Spirit: Strong ability to work with diverse teams and partners at multiple levels.

• Analytical Mindset: Ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
