In the role of Senior Accountant & Controller, you ensure accurate financial reporting and oversee the monthly close and audits. You safeguard budget discipline across teams, enforcing financial rigor and ensuring spending stays within guardrails.
This role is ideal for an experienced finance professional who thrives on ownership and structure and wants to strengthen financial processes in a fast-growing company.
Your responsibilities:
- Management Reporting: Support preparation of accurate monthly performance report and analyze variances to ensure transparency for leadership
- Monthly Closing Coordination: Lead the month-end closing processes to ensure timely and error-free results
- Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate financial statements preparation for group entities incl. cooperation with external accounting providers
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate external audits by preparing required documentation and serving as the primary point of contact
- Budget Controlling: Monitor departmental spending and enforce fiscal discipline to keep the organization within its financial guardrails
- Accuracy & Completeness: Prepare and oversee reconciliations and validate data integrity to ensure the total reliability of the general ledger
- Process & Control Improvement: Identify reporting process gaps and implement controls to mitigate risk and increase efficiency
Your profile:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in financial controlling, accounting, or audit
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA, ACCA, CMA or similar qualification is preferred
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Odoo) and expert-level Excel skills
- Language skills: English at B2+ level, Czech fluency required
- Audit Background: Proven track record in managing external audits and implementing internal control frameworks
- Accounting Standards: Deep understanding of local GAAP and IFRS to ensure reporting compliance
- Mindset: High attention to detail with the professional backbone to enforce budget discipline and financial policies.
