About the Role:
As a Senior Account Manager in our Rhythm Management division, your core objective is to support the Regional Sales Manager in driving the success of the Electrophysiology portfolio within your designated territory. You will play a pivotal role in executing strategic initiatives, managing key accounts, and identifying growth opportunities to expand market share.
This field-based role offers a permanent position and is responsible for the region of Paris, with frequent travel to visit clients (approx. four days per week).
Your responsibilities will include:
Account Management
- Lead with a strong commercial focus to drive competitive account conversions and increase market share within the region.
- Execute regional and local sales strategies aligned with broader business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders in your accounts, in collaboration with Field Clinical Specialists (FCS), Strategic Account Managers (SAM), Key Account Managers (KAM), and Regional Sales Managers (RSM)
- Maximize stakeholder engagement opportunities, including support in the operating room as needed
Opportunity Identification & Sales Execution
- Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities within your territory, leveraging cross-functional support when necessary.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, including account planning, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
- Meets with existing and potential clients (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals) by traveling to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care and to discuss and demonstrate how company products can help them to achieve their goals.
- Develops relationships with hospital personnel (e.g., through casual conversation, meetings, participation in conferences) to make new contacts in other departments within hospitals and to identify key decision makers to facilitate future sales.
- Responds to customer needs and complaints regarding products and service by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel (e.g., sales, clinical research, marketing, technical support) to develop optimal solutions.
- In this role, you will be responsible for the region of Paris. On occasion, you may be required to support colleagues in neighboring regions.
- This remote field-based role will require weekly travel (approx. four days per week, depending on customer needs).
What are we looking for in you:
- Successfully completed studies within Biomedical Sciences (or a similar subject area), preferably with a master’s qualification in medical technology.
- At least 5 years’ experience in medical device or pharmaceutical sales, ideally with exposure to Rhythm Management products or clinical support.
- Proven knowledge of local healthcare markets and customer landscape.
- Skilled in preparing tenders and engaging with purchasing departments and hospital decision-makers.
- Strong business acumen, with experience in planning and executing sales strategies.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management.
- Clinical Insight & Patient Pathway Understanding.
- Ability to understand and communicate complex technical and clinical details.
- Professional working proficiency (or above) language skills in both French and English.
- Can rapidly adapt to a very dynamic marketplace.
- Strong team player, collaborative, ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally.
- Self-motivated and can influence others.
- Flexible, adaptable but focused and persistent.
- Willing to travel as required by workload.
- Holder of an eligible driver’s license for operating a vehicle as required for the role.
