Job Title: Senior Tester
Location: Bangalore
Experience: 5+ years in years in eNB/gNB protocol testing, particularly in 3GPP L1/L2/L3, 4G/5G Baseband testing, etc.
Education:
- B.E./B.S./B.Tech./M.S./M.E./M.Tech. in Electrical Electronics/Computer Science (related branches will be considered)
- Strong academic background with excellent oral and written communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the testing lifecycle from test planning, design, to execution and reporting.
- Prepare and review test plans and reports, issues/defects, and tracking issues through their lifecycle
- Drive ongoing optimization of products, operational environments, and processes.
- Mentor junior testers and provide them with guidance on best practices and methodologies.
- Ensure timely availability of the appropriate test environments, including both the physical lab platforms and environments with necessary tools and automation frameworks.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for testing processes and methodologies in both automatic & manual test execution.
Skills Required:
- Expert in NR (New Radio) system concepts, protocols, procedures, specifications, verification processes, troubleshooting & RAN KPIs preferred.
- Work with 5G Baseband and Cloud RAN software teams to test new features and legacy impacts.
- Familiarity with radio network testing tools such as UE simulators, protocol analyzers, signal generators, and radio channel simulators.
- Proficient in code coverage and static analysis tools, including SonarQube, Coveralls, or comparable tools (not mandatory).
- Knowledge of Iperf, Wireshark and UE Simulators such as TMA/TM500 (Viavi), QXDM is desirable or any UE simulator experience.
- Hands-on experience in Linux software development using tools and frameworks including GIT, Gerrit, CI/CD JUnit, Jenkins, Nexus and Bash/Shell.
- Handson using programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, XML) for creating test automation solutions using JCAT/TestNG.
- Experience in working with multi-cultural & international environment test teams to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution.
- Develop and maintain post-processing scripts using Python or Perl.
