Your Role
- Clean up, retarget, and refine motion capture data in Autodesk MotionBuilder
- Create and polish high-quality keyframe animations for characters, props, and creatures
- Collaborate with rigging, modeling, and technical animation teams to ensure animation assets meet gameplay and cinematic requirements
- Work closely with animation leads and directors to maintain consistent style, timing, and performance quality.
- Optimize animation assets for performance without compromising visual fidelity
- Participate in animation reviews, provide feedback, and mentor junior animators
- Troubleshoot animation-related issues in production pipelines
Must Have
- 5+ years of professional experience in 3D animation for games, films, or cinematics
- A portfolio with show-reel in video format or online video link
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk MotionBuilder with proven mocap cleanup and editing experience
- Solid understanding of keyframe animation, body mechanics, weight, timing, and acting
- Familiarity with animation integration in engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative production environment
- Knowledge of Maya & MotionBuilder for animation refinement or export pipelines is a plus
Good to Have
- Experience in facial animation and lip-sync workflows
- Knowledge of motion capture systems (Vicon, OptiTrack, Xsens)
- Experience with Python/MEL scripting for MotionBuilder pipeline tools
