Position Summary
The Intercompany Accountant will be responsible for managing and reconciling all intercompany transactions between entities of the organization. This role ensures accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and timely resolution of discrepancies, while supporting month-end close and audit requirements. The Intercompany Coordinator will work closely with local finance teams, shared services, and corporate accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile intercompany transactions, invoices, and balances across all entities.
- Monitor intercompany accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting policies (GAAP/IFRS).
- Collaborate with regional and local finance teams to resolve discrepancies and mismatches in intercompany balances.
- Support month-end and year-end close by preparing intercompany reconciliations, journals, and reports.
- Ensure intercompany charges (management fees, cross-charges, cost allocations, etc.) are processed on time and accurately.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide required documentation for internal and external auditors.
- Maintain intercompany agreements and ensure compliance with transfer pricing policies and tax regulations.
- Identify process improvements and propose automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Generate periodic reports on intercompany balances, settlements, and outstanding items.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in accounting, intercompany processes, or financial reconciliation.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Strong MS Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations).
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- English proficiency (intermediate/advanced).
