Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Semi-Senior Desktop Support Specialist to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for desktop computers, software applications, and hardware in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The role involves resolving technical issues, assisting end-users, and ensuring the efficient operation of desktop systems across the organization

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level support to end-users for desktop hardware, software, and network issues.

  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to operating systems, applications, and hardware.

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop software and hardware, including operating systems, printers, and peripherals.

  • Manage and resolve service tickets using the helpdesk ticketing system in a timely manner.

  • Assist in software upgrades, installations, and system configurations.

  • Provide training and support to end-users on software applications, tools, and best practices.

  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on desktop systems, including patch management and antivirus updates.

  • Ensure all desktop systems and software are properly secured and in compliance with company policies and standards.

  • Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues and improve IT processes.

  • Document and maintain technical knowledge base for troubleshooting and training purposes.

  • Assist with IT projects as needed, including hardware rollouts and software deployments.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

  • 3 years of proven experience as a Desktop Support Specialist or in a similar IT support role.

  • Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS, etc.) and software applications.

  • Experience with troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.

  • Knowledge of networking basics and remote desktop support tools.

  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT support processes.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.

  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
