As a Blockchain Security Operations Vice President at JPMorganChase within Cybersecurity and Technology Controls, you will proactively detect, assess, and respond to threats, vulnerabilities, and security incidents impacting blockchain and enterprise environments. You will collaborate with partners across technology and control functions to strengthen resilience, improve monitoring coverage, and protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of systems and sensitive data.
Job responsibilities
- Design and influence security strategies, policies, and procedures that improve detection and response for digital assets, smart contracts, and blockchain infrastructure
- Monitor and analyze on-chain and off-chain signals to identify indicators of compromise, suspicious activity, and emerging attack patterns
- Lead security investigations by gathering evidence, analyzing root cause, documenting findings, and driving remediation to closure.
- Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate threat intelligence synthesis and prioritization, validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity and security requirements.
- Develop and continuously improve alerting logic, detection rules, and operational playbooks for blockchain-related threats and incidents
- Partner with cross-functional teams to coordinate incident response, share insights, and promote consistent security best practices
- Evaluate and enhance security posture by tracking industry trends, new threat techniques, and relevant regulatory expectations
- Drive process improvements that increase operational efficiency, reduce risk, and improve mean time to detect and respond
- Contribute to control and reporting routines by producing clear, actionable updates for stakeholders and leadership.
- Drives reuse-first adoption of AI-assisted workflows to improve threat hunting and detection engineering productivity, ensuring outputs are validated and aligned to security expectations.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on security and cloud concepts and 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, including threat detection, incident response, and security infrastructure management
- Experience using security information and event management (SIEM) platforms and log analytics to support detection and investigation workflows
- Demonstrated expertise across multiple security domains (for example, network security, malware analysis, threat hunting, and security architecture)
- Advanced knowledge of network and infrastructure configuration and security controls
- Experience designing and implementing security solutions for on-premises, cloud, or hybrid environments.
- Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support threat intelligence, detection engineering, and security research workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
- Ability to review and validate AI-assisted intelligence findings and detection recommendations before implementation, escalating when uncertain and following security and data handling requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
