Security Officer

Position Overview: 

The Chicago Bulls are seeking reliable, professional, and safety-focused Security Officers to join our part-time weekend team. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by monitoring facility access, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and supporting daily building operations. This is a highly confidential and information-sensitive position that requires discretion, sound judgment, and a strong sense of accountability. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently across various shifts while interacting professionally with employees, guests, vendors, and visitors. 

Available Shifts:  

• 1st Shift: 7:00am – 3:00pm 
• 2nd Shift: 3:00pm – 11:00pm 
• 3rd Shift: 11:00pm – 7:00am 

Additional shifts may be available during the week and on weekends to provide coverage for employee call-offs, vacations, special events, and other operational needs. 

Responsibilities: 

• Monitor building access, CCTV systems, alarms, and facility activity to help maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, guests, and visitors.  
• Conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents and emergencies, complete required documentation, and communicate key updates across shifts.  
• Support event operations, including load-ins, load-outs, and facility coverage, while partnering with departments across the organization to support daily business needs.  
• Maintain strict confidentiality and utilize security systems and software to support access control, reporting, and overall facility security. 
• Deliver packages and materials across the facility on occasion. 

Qualifications: 

• Prior security, military, law enforcement, facilities, customer service, or related experience is preferred.  
• Strong observation, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.  
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.  
• Comfortable using computer systems for reporting, access control, and daily communication; familiarity with Genetec is a plus.  
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and conduct patrols throughout an assigned shift.  
• Reliable attendance and availability to work weekends, holidays, overnight shifts, and occasional additional shifts as needed. 

Compensation & Schedule:  

This role pays $20.50/hour and requires a flexible schedule with the ability to work weekend shifts. As a part-time role, employees may not be scheduled every weekend, and hours may vary based on business needs, staffing requirements, and individual availability.
