We are seeking a highly motivated and vigilant individual to join our team as a Security Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our building during evening hours. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a secure and orderly environment

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and control access to the building, ensuring that only authorized personnel enter the premises.
  • Conduct regular patrols and surveillance of the building and surrounding areas to detect and prevent any security breaches or suspicious activities.
  • Act promptly in the event of emergencies, including but not limited to fire alarms, medical incidents, or security threats. Follow established procedures and protocols to ensure the safety of all occupants.
  • Provide clear and concise reports on incidents and activities during each shift. Complete accurate and detailed incident reports for any unusual occurrences, violations, or security-related events.
  • Demonstrate a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with employees, visitors, and vendors.
  • Operate security equipment, including surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
  • Facilitate evening and weekend event transitions by assisting with the setup and breakdown of furniture, equipment, and signage as needed.
  • Perform light aesthetic repairs, such as patching and sanding small holes in drywall, touch-up painting, and ensuring interior surfaces are maintained to a high professional standard.
  • Identify and address minor building issues during patrols (e.g., tightening loose fixtures or replacing lightbulbs) to prevent safety hazards or further wear.
  • Routine spa maintenance and sanitation

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in security procedures is a plus.
  • Certifications: Possession of relevant security certifications or the ability to obtain them (e.g., CPR, First Aid, Security Guard License).
  • Basic proficiency with hand tools and a "handyman" skill set (drywall repair, assembly, and general cleaning protocols) is highly preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of situational awareness and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, as well as the capacity to respond quickly to emergencies.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times.

Skills Required

  • Previous experience in security or a related field
