Offering revolving lines of credit, private-label credit cards, installment financing programs and more, FEB’s engages with strategic, collaborative partnerships, promoting services and products to provide the most beneficial consumer and commercial financing solutions.

First Electronic Bank is seeking a hands-on Security Manager to help lead the next phase of our cybersecurity maturity. This is a highly visible role with direct impact on protecting the Bank, our customers, and our fintech partners. In addition to providing technical leadership, this role will directly manage and mentor a team of security professionals, fostering a high-performing culture focused on continuous improvement and security excellence across the organization.

Unlike traditional security operations roles, this position is focused on building, improving, and modernizing security capabilities.  What You'll Do:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of security professionals, providing coaching, performance management, career development, and technical guidance to build a high-performing cybersecurity function.
  • Establish team priorities, allocate resources, and oversee the execution of cybersecurity initiatives to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Bank's cybersecurity controls across identity and access management, cloud security, infrastructure security, data protection, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Partner with Infrastructure, Engineering, and business teams to identify risks, strengthen security architecture, and embed security into technology and business processes.
  • Manage vulnerability assessments, remediation efforts, security monitoring, incident response activities, and ongoing risk reduction initiatives.
  • Support regulatory examinations, audits, vendor security reviews, and compliance efforts within a highly regulated financial services environment.
  • Serve as a trusted security advisor, helping influence technology decisions and advance the Bank's overall cybersecurity strategy.

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in security engineering, cloud security, identity security, infrastructure security, or a closely related cybersecurity discipline.
  • Experience designing and implementing security controls in enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of identity management, cloud platforms, networking, security architecture, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead technical projects, solve complex problems, and collaborate effectively across teams.

Preferred qualifications

  • Previous experience managing, mentoring, or leading security, infrastructure, or technology professionals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and effectively communicate security priorities to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience developing talent, driving team performance, and managing competing priorities.
  • Experience in banking, financial services, fintech, or another regulated industry.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft security technologies.
  • Familiarity with vulnerability management, data protection, incident response, security monitoring, and secure software development practices.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, GIAC, or Security+ are a plus but not required.
