Security Engineer

As a Security Engineer at Dapper Labs, you will be instrumental in shaping the security landscape of our innovative blockchain solutions. This role spans across infrastructure and application security, compliance, strategic security initiatives, and legal aspects related to the crypto environment. Embracing a "shift left" approach, you will integrate security early into the software development lifecycle using advanced tools like the GitHub Security platform and CodeQL. Your expertise will help develop robust defenses against fraud, manage security incidents, and ensure our cloud architectures, particularly in GCP, are secured through sophisticated IAM strategies. What we'll accomplish together:

• Implement and enforce security protocols across our blockchain and cryptocurrency infrastructure.
• Enhance application security postures by integrating a "shift left" approach with SAST and DAST tools, ensuring early and proactive security measures.
• Lead strategic security projects to strengthen our defenses and mitigate emerging threats, focusing particularly on supply chain security.
• Educate our team on best practices for security and social engineering prevention techniques.
• Address and analyze potential fraud and legal-related security challenges affecting our operations.
• Coordinate incident response efforts to manage and remediate security events swiftly.
• Integrate robust cloud IAM solutions across our platforms, with a special focus on GCP.
• Manage security projects with strategic oversight to maintain and enhance product integrity.

• You are proficient in infrastructure and application security, including using tools like GitHub Security platform, CodeQL, SAST, and DAST.
• Experienced with the legal requirements and compliance concerns specific to the cryptocurrency industry.
• A strategic thinker capable of leading security initiatives and managing complex projects, particularly in supply chain security.
• Effective at educating teams on security and social engineering prevention with strong communication skills.
• Knowledgeable in fraud dynamics and the legal implications impacting the security landscape.
• Expert in incident response, IT security practices, and cloud IAM systems, particularly in GCP.
• Passionate about cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, with a drive to innovate within the security sphere.
