About You:

Reporting to NinjaTrader's Director of Security and Infrastructure, you’ll play a vital part in safeguarding our organizations IT infrastructure and data by performing a variety of tasks focused primarily on analysis and monitoring. You’ll gain valuable hands-on experience working alongside experienced security professionals and contribute to a strong company security posture. The Security Analyst role requires a high level of responsibility, and the ideal candidate will have two or more years of experience in a similar role.

In this role, you will: 

• SIEM Monitoring and Incident Triage – Assist in monitoring our Security information and Event Management system for potential security incidents, investigating alerts, and prioritizing threats for further investigation.
• Vulnerability Scanning and Resolution Management – Assist with vulnerability scanning processes, analyze scan results, and track remediation for identified vulnerabilities.
• Security Ticket Management – Monitor and manage the security ticket queue, assisting with initial ticket triage and responding to security related requests.  
• Email Filtering Review – Review and respond to suspected phishing attempts and reported malicious emails.
• Risk Assessment Support – Assist with conducting risk assessments, gathering data, and documenting findings.
• Continuously learn and stay updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
• Research security enhancements and make recommendations to NinjaTrader management.
• On call monitoring of global events.

Key Job Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• Possess a current security certification, such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), ISC2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), GIAC GISF (Information Security Fundamentals), or other industry-accepted equivalent.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and various operating systems.
• Basic knowledge of security concepts – Vulnerabilities, threats, risks, and potential attack vectors.
• Basic knowledge of security tools – Firewalls, Intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, Endpoint Detection and Response, and common vulnerability management tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team – Not afraid to ask questions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
