The core service offering consists of clearing, execution, stock borrowing and lending, settlement. AAC-USA has a Global Reach through direct and indirect clearing memberships to over 90 of the world's leading exchanges. Our international network provides comprehensive market access to exchange-listed instruments such as stocks, futures, and options. ABN AMRO Clearing USA LLC-Member FINRA, NFA, FIA and SIPC.

The Stock Borrow Loan (SBL) Associate executes the day-to-day SBL Operations and Buy-In activities to drive and support the US Equities Prime Brokerage business.
The objective is to do so in the most efficient way as possible, ensuring client facilitation, regulatory compliance and maximum profit for the bank. There is a direct relationship between the way the SBL Operations Associate performs the job and the P&L of the company.
The SBL Associate will be in a very high exposure role to achieve and collaborate superior client service, counterparty strategy, development of vendor relationships, and maintaining a culture of compliance.

  • Clear and settle US equity security borrow and loan financing transactions
  • Handles both Regulatory and Counterparty driven buy-ins to mitigate firm market risk
  • Answers client queries regarding recall and buy-in processes to our enable clients in understanding short selling risks
  • Develop business relationships with Stock Loan Counterparties
  • Support and integrate with the securities finance trading desk
  • Pledge and release US equity collateral for margin and bank loans
  • Facilitate post-trade contract maintenance such as reconciliation, collateral mark to markets, recalls, and returns
  • Process rate changes on contract collateral and reconcile resulting differences
  • Collect and pay rebate rate billing accruals with street-side counterparties



  • 1+ year experience working in financial services
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, or related field
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines
  • Ability to think through and solve difficult and complex problems
  • Analytical thinking from both the business and technical sides
  • Advanced excel skills including VBA macros, programming languages
  • Great desire to learn and willingly transfer knowledge to enable others
  • Constantly evaluating process to improve upon them
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to contribute in a dynamic team environment
  • Self-motivated and committed to personal and professional development
  • Ability to act independently
  • Impeccable integrity



  • Prior work experience in SBL Operations, Back or Middle Office Operations, Buy-Ins, or related field supporting US Equities
  • Experience handling proprietary trading client and counterparty relationships
  • Knowledge of custody and clearing
  • Broker Dealer securities industry knowledge and understanding of regulations
  • Corporate Actions knowledge both mandatory and voluntary events
  • General ledger experience
