Job Description:

SecDev Engineer

HOW A NETWORK ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
● Responsible for the design and development of voice, video, radio frequency, and/or data communications networks
Configure, deploy, and manage load balancing tools, firewalls, email security appliances, and web proxies.

Develop and implement security policies and procedures in accordance with industry best practices and organizational requirements for security policy implementation.

Monitor SecDev tools for performance and security logs to identify and respond to potential threats and vulnerabilities.

Participate in security incident response activities, including the investigation, documentation, and remediation of security incidents, for incident response.

Conduct regular network security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements for network security assessments.

Manage F5s, firewalls, email security appliances and web proxy firmware upgrades and patches to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure for upgrades and patching.

Work closely with other IT and security teams to design and implement network security solutions for collaboration.

Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of firewall configurations, changes, and network diagrams for documentation.

Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to boundary devices to ensure they are up to date with the latest security features and firmware.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
● Required Experience: 2+ years of related experience
● Required Technical Skills: Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, SSL/TLS, and related protocols.

● Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/Poly
● Required Skills and Abilities: Experience with network security concepts and technologies

● Other specific skills or competencies communication and problem solving
● Location: On Site
● US Citizenship Required

IAT Level II certified

Ability to work on call rotation as needed.

Work hours: 8 hours per day (Mon-Fri). Specific hours agreed upon between employee and supervisor.

The likely salary range for this position is $97,750 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
