The Role

As the SEO Team Lead, you will drive our clients' digital success. You’re deeply passionate about SEO and desire to stay ahead of industry trends and continuously improve. Working closely with the SEO Director, you'll bring a growth-oriented mindset to the team, always seeking opportunities to enhance client outcomes and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • SEO Strategy Execution: Collaborate with the SEO Director to implement and refine SEO strategies, ensuring alignment with client goals and industry best practices.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage the SEO team, providing guidance, support, and ongoing training to ensure the team’s growth and success.
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of client SEO projects, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained. Coordinate cross-functional teams and resources as needed.
  • Client Communication: Serve as a key point of contact for clients, providing updates, reports, and insights on project progress and performance.
  • Direct Report Management: Handle performance reviews, goal setting, and professional development for team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze SEO performance data to track progress and identify opportunities for improvement. Prepare comprehensive reports for internal teams and clients.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve internal processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in project delivery and team performance.
  • Experimentation: Lead efforts to experiment with new SEO techniques, tools, and methodologies to stay ahead of industry changes and test innovative approaches that can drive better client results.
  • Efficiency Building: Identify and implement solutions that streamline team and project management workflows, utilizing technology and best practices to optimize productivity.
  • AI Experimentation: Explore and integrate AI-driven tools and technologies into the SEO process, leveraging them to enhance decision-making, improve efficiencies, and drive better client outcomes.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay current with the latest SEO trends, tools, and algorithm updates to ensure the team’s strategies remain current and effective.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in SEO, with at least one year in a leadership or management role within an agency or in-house team.
  • SEO Expertise: In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices, tools, and techniques, including keyword research, on-page and off-page optimization, technical SEO, and content strategy.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Client Management: Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships effectively, including setting expectations, providing regular updates, and delivering results that align with client objectives.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring a team. Ability to handle performance management, direct report management, and foster a culture of growth and collaboration.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to clients, team members, and internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong data analysis skills, proficient in using SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs) and creating actionable insights from data.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Innovation: Experience with experimenting with new tools, techniques, and AI technologies to drive improvements in SEO processes and outcomes.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not required).
