This is a high-bar role for a leader who has operated in technically complex, high-stakes environments and is ready to take on a larger mandate.

As the Head of Solutions Engineering (DACH & Nordics), you will lead the technical direction of NC’s most important customer engagements across the region. You will uncover the problems worth solving, shape AI transformation roadmaps, and turn technical possibility into a credible path to adoption.

You will also build and develop the regional Solutions Engineering team, setting the standard for technical consulting and raising the quality of every engagement.

• Lead discovery with engineering and executive stakeholders, turning complex challenges into clear technical strategies.

• Define customer-specific AI roadmaps connected to real engineering priorities.

• Shape and co-own technically rigorous Statements of Work, grounded in customer workflows, data, and adoption plans.

• Build, coach, and lead the regional Solutions Engineering team, managing standards, capacity, and complex escalations.

• Partner with Sales and Forward Deployed Engineering to move from technical strategy into delivery.

• Bring customer insight back to Product and R&D.

You have built credibility by taking responsibility for difficult problems and finding a way forward when the obvious path fails.

• You have an engineering background with deep familiarity with CAD, CAE, simulation, and real engineering workflows.

• You earn trust with simulation engineers and executive leaders because you understand their problems and communicate with precision.

• You create structure in ambiguity, challenge assumptions, and move complex work forward with urgency.

• You are a proven people leader who builds strong teams, gives direct feedback, and raises the bar.

• You have 8+ years of experience in solutions engineering, technical consulting, pre-sales, or a related client-facing role.

• You are professionally fluent in German and English.

• Hands-on experience across the simulation workflow, from CAD through post-processing and automation.

• Strong Python skills and experience with ML or deep learning workflows through deployment.

• The ability to conduct technical discovery at a level respected by simulation engineers.

• Experience building end-to-end engineering workflow prototypes.

• Experience shaping enterprise transformation programs or leading Solutions Engineering teams.
