What You'll Do

  • Scrum Leadership: Lead and manage daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. You will be expected to run the Scrum meetings independently, ensuring alignment between teams and stakeholders without needing direct client involvement.
  • Project Planning & Prioritization: Collaborate with product owners to effectively prioritize user stories and manage the backlog.
  • Quality and Schedule Management: Establish metrics to measure quality and adherence to the project schedule. T
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize Jira dashboards and reports to monitor sprint health, differentiate between planned and unplanned tasks, and provide insights on project progress.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement using data from sprint retrospectives and performance metrics. Analyze velocity trends, defect density, and completion rates to enhance team efficiency and overall delivery quality.
  • Conflict Resolution & Team Management: Handle team conflicts constructively, and support the team in overcoming roadblocks. Identify low-performing team members and implement performance improvement plans to drive accountability.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Serve as the point of contact for cross-functional teams, including vendors, engineering teams, and stakeholders. Demonstrate clear and persuasive communication to manage relationships, resolve issues, and unblock team members.
  • Performance Metrics: Regularly measure and review project manager performance through key indicators such as on-time delivery, budget management, stakeholder satisfaction, and risk mitigation.
  • Agile Best Practices: Apply Agile best practices for project success and team collaboration.

What You Know

  • A minimum of 10 years of proven professional experience is required.
  • Must have 3+ years of experience as a scrum master/Project Manager
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Project Manager in an Agile environment.
  • Strong familiarity with Jira dashboards
  • Experience in task prioritization and backlog management.
  • Excellent data analysis skills, particularly in productivity and quality measurement.
  • Ability to work with distributed teams and navigate across departments to unblock teams.
  • Strong conflict resolution, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to provide time overlap with U.S. CST (morning hours).
  • Experience managing teams from multiple vendors.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field preferred.
