- Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and scaling patterns (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus beneficial).
- Strong practical experience facilitating end-to-end Agile ceremonies: planning, refinement, stand-ups, reviews, and retros.
- Expertise in flow metrics: velocity, cycle time, WIP, throughput, lead time, blocker clustering, predictability trends.
- Skilled in coaching teams on definition of ready (DoR), definition of done (DoD), estimation techniques, and backlog hygiene.
- Ability to identify delivery bottlenecks, coordinate dependencies, and resolve or escalate impediments quickly.

Responsibilities
- Agile Delivery Leadership
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies efficiently, ensuring clear purpose, outcomes, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure sprint planning is effective with clear goals, refined backlog items, realistic capacity, and visible dependencies.
- Maintain focus on flow: reduce blockers, manage WIP, highlight bottlenecks, and support stable velocity trends.
- Shield the team from external interruptions and work with stakeholders to maintain focus on committed work.
- Team Health & Coaching
- Promote psychological safety, collaboration, and healthy team behaviour.
- Coach the team on Agile principles, practices, and mindset aligned with Titan’s delivery expectations.
- Conduct team health assessments, facilitate conflict resolution, and promote proactive communication.
- Support Lead Developers and Chapter Leads in nurturing strong engineering practices within the squad.
- Team Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor and report on team performance, including metrics such as velocity, predictability, quality trends, and delivery blockers.
- Proactively identify delivery bottlenecks or performance dips, and coach the team through improvements.
- Use delivery and behavioral data to foster a culture of transparent performance and outcome ownership.
- Backlog & Refinement Quality
- Partner with Product Owners to ensure backlog items meet Definition of Ready.
- Promote high-quality acceptance criteria and ensure the team has considered relevant quality constraints (including any applicable NFRs) as defined by engineering and architecture.
- Support estimation practices (e.g., Story Points, T-Shirt Sizing) and ensure alignment across the squad.
- Highlight gaps in refinement and ensure adequate future sprint readiness.
- Risk, Dependency & Impediment Management
- Identify risks early and surface them to Product Owners, Lead Developers, and the Head of Engineering.
- Manage cross-squad dependencies by coordinating with other Scrum Masters, Chapter Leads, and Architects.
- Remove or escalate impediments swiftly to avoid delivery disruption.
- Track patterns of blockers, impediments, and delivery anti-patterns for continuous improvement.
- Delivery Metrics & Reporting
- Maintain and analyse sprint and flow metrics, including velocity, cycle time, throughput, and rollover trends.
- Provide data-driven insights to the team and leadership, highlighting progress, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Champion transparency through dashboards and meaningful reporting that reflects delivery health and predictability.
- Continuous Improvement
- Facilitate retrospectives that drive actionable improvement, track follow-through, and measure impact.
- Collaborate with Chapter Leads by reinforcing agreed engineering practices within the team, promoting adherence to ways of working, and encouraging continuous improvement that supports better engineering outcomes.
- Contribute to shared learning by surfacing recurring delivery patterns and collaborating with other Scrum Masters and Chapter Leads on improvements that benefit multiple squads.
- Introduce Agile techniques to enhance predictability, flow, collaboration, and team engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator in a software engineering environment.
- Certification in Agile/Scrum (CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe) preferred.
- Experience working in cross-functional product teams with engineers, QAs, DevOps, and product managers.
- Strong understanding of modern SDLC practices, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps culture, and cloud-based delivery contexts.
- Experience in regulated industries (financial services) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with ITIL, service management, or operational support concepts beneficial.
