Position Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Scrum Master to join our agile team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of agile principles and Scrum framework, and be capable of guiding multiple scrum teams through successful delivery of complex fintech products. You will work closely with developers, product managers, QA engineers, and stakeholders to ensure agile best practices are followed, roadblocks are removed, and value is delivered continuously.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
- Serve as a servant-leader for 1–2 agile development teams within the organization.
- Remove impediments and protect the team from external disruptions to ensure productivity.
- Coach teams on agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint.
- Collaborate with product managers to maintain well-groomed product backlogs.
- Track and communicate team velocity, sprint/release progress, and other agile metrics.
- Support the adoption of agile frameworks across the company.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration within the teams.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in a technology-focused company.
- Proven experience in managing software development teams using agile methodologies.
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM) required.
- Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent facilitation, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (developers, QA, product managers).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a fintech or regulated industry environment.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience scaling Agile in a multi-team environment.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
