The Scrum Master – AI & Data Projects is responsible for enabling the Agile delivery of data, analytics, and artificial intelligence initiatives that support operational and advisory decision-making. The role is built on a strong foundation in business analysis, data analytics, and process improvement, and evolves this capability into Agile facilitation, delivery enablement, and continuous improvement leadership.
The successful candidate will act as a leader and Agile coach for cross-functional teams delivering AI-driven insights, analytics platforms, and decision-support tools. Working closely with subject-matter experts, data scientists, engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders, the role ensures that complex business and operational requirements are translated into well-prioritised backlogs and delivered iteratively with measurable value.
The role supports the profitability and scalability of client solutions through effective Agile delivery and data-driven execution.
Main Responsibilities
Agile & Scrum Facilitation
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for AI and data delivery teams.
- Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile and Scrum principles.
- Identify and remove impediments impacting delivery.
- Support Agile practices in exploratory AI use cases.
AI & Data Project Delivery
- Enable delivery of AI, analytics, and data-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with Product Owners on backlog prioritisation.
- Ensure clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Support iterative experimentation and learning cycles.
Business Analysis & Stakeholder Enablement
- Translate business needs into epics and user stories.
- Bridge business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Facilitate workshops and backlog refinement sessions.
- Support process improvement initiatives.
Data, BI & Delivery Support
- Track delivery metrics and team performance.
- Support BI and data quality initiatives.
- Report delivery progress and outcomes.
Continuous Improvement
- Promote Agile metrics and retrospectives.
- Encourage effective team practices.
Skills and Capabilities
- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum principles
- Solid business analysis background
- Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills
- Ability to translate complex concepts into user stories
- Experience with data, analytics, or AI teams
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Awareness of AI and advanced analytics concepts
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Informatics, Information Science, Business Analysis, Data Analytics, Agriculture with analytics focus, or related field
Experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in business analysis, data analytics, or process improvement
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Experience with data, BI, analytics, or AI initiatives
- Experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI preferred)
- SQL experience advantageous
- Exposure to BI administration or data governance advantageous
