We are currently looking for a Scriptwriter to join our Animated Content department, working remotely on a part-time basis. This role will focus on writing engaging, informative, and entertaining scripts for Bright Side videos, transforming complex ideas into captivating stories for a global audience.
Responsibilities- Write clear, creative, and engaging scripts in English for Bright Side YouTube videos.
- Transform complex concepts into easy-to-understand, story-driven scripts.
- Ensure that each story has a strong rhythm, structure, and emotional flow to keep viewers engaged.
- Follow Bright Side’s storytelling guidelines, tone of voice, and creative direction.
- Conduct thorough research on assigned topics using credible sources.
- Verify facts and ensure all information presented in scripts is accurate and up to date.
- Identify new and trending topics aligned with Bright Side’s style and audience interests.
- Work closely with editors, producers, and the creative team to deliver scripts that meet production needs.
- Incorporate feedback promptly and refine scripts to achieve the best final version.
- Manage your own workload and deadlines effectively while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Stay informed about current trends in science, psychology, space, and storytelling formats.
- Explore and experiment with new storytelling techniques suitable for YouTube and social media audiences.
- Use AI and other creative tools for research or ideation when relevant.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of writing experience in scriptwriting, journalism, or copywriting.
- Proven ability to craft stories for a wide audience, preferably for YouTube or social media.
- Strong understanding of pacing, structure, and emotional engagement in visual storytelling.
- Excellent written English (Upper-Intermediate/B2 level or higher).
- Ability to simplify complex topics and make them entertaining and relatable.
- Strong research and fact-checking skills.
- Understanding of what keeps viewers watching, pacing, visuals, and narrative flow.
- Openness to feedback and readiness to revise scripts to reach top quality.
- Interest in experimenting with AI tools or new digital research platforms.
- Curious, creative, and observant, you find inspiration in everyday life.
- Detail-oriented and passionate about creating stories that feel human and meaningful.
