Forward-Deployed Scientist

Chai is an applied research lab working on AI to unlock biology. Our models design new molecules for new medicines. Scientists across industry are adopting our software platform to develop drugs with engineering precision. Our vision is to build a design suite for biology, with applications across life sciences, agriculture, materials science and beyond.

Our founders have been at the forefront of this field since its inception. We raised $230m from Thrive, General Catalyst, OpenAI, Dimension and other tier-one investors. We partner with global life sciences companies like Eli Lilly on deals that are transforming the industry landscape.

We are building out our founding forward-deployed team and looking to make a few key hires to anchor the effort. You will operate as a power user who intimately understands the ins and outs of our platform. You will apply your intellect, intuition and creativity to solve novel biological problems and drug targets, working with an elite team of biologists, computational scientists and AI researchers.

Your mandate is to ensure that we our industry partners have an exceptional experience working with us and are blown away by what they can achieve. You will become an expert in their science and therapeutic concerns. You will operate as our eyes & ears on the ground, taking your findings back inside the building to help refine our product, our models, and our approach.

We index on ravenous curiosity, outlier aptitude and collaboration smarts. You operate with urgency, have well-honed communication skills, and probably can't sleep if something isn't right.
