Responsibilities

  • Development and application of technologies for screening and implementation of suitable microorganisms for industrial bioprocesses

  • Continuous development of competences in the field of cultivation and fermentation technologies and state of the art monitoring

  • Establish and apply models to accomplish project goals in a structured and efficient manner (e.g. kinetic models, black-box models, hybrid models etc.)

  • Collaboration in interdisciplinary teams as technical expert / project leader

  • Effective documentation, communication and presentation of concepts and results to stakeholders

Requirements

  • Degree in biotechnology, chemical engineering or bioprocess engineering, PhD preferred

  • Proven abilities in the cultivation of microorganisms by driving technological KPIs

  • Experience in bioprocess modelling (kinetic models, black-box-modelling, hybrid modelling ...)

  • Good command of IT tools for data integration and analysis

  • Very good written and spoken English; German language skills are of advantage

  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and excellent communication skills in the context of project and stakeholder management

  • High level of personal responsibility and willingness to travel nationally and internationally
