Job Title:                     Scientist - Analytical Development team

Location:                     Slough

The role:

We’re seeking a motivated Scientist to join our fast-growing Analytical Development team. The successful candidate will be a key member of the laboratory team contributing to the delivery of bioanalytical development stages. You will be responsible for performing a variety of bioanalytical techniques, critically interpreting and analysing data and supporting optimisation and troubleshooting of methods. The role also includes involvement in equipment maintenance, document management and safety compliance.

This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do:

  • Working closely with study directors, execute experiments and critically analyse and interpret data to contribute to the establishment, pre-validation and development of bioanalytical methods such as SPR, flow cytometry, ELISA, cell-based methods.

  • Draft internal and customer ready reports.

  • Support effective lab and department operations including equipment ownership and maintenance, documentation, buffer preparation and safety actions.

  • Support implementation of new assay technologies/continuous improvement projects.

  • Contribute to technical investigations/RCAs.

  • Maintain high-quality documentation in line with quality management systems.

  • Train more junior members of the department as required.

  • This role is fully on-site.

What we are looking for:

  • Degree or Master's qualification in Life Sciences or a related scientific discipline.

  • Laboratory experience in analytical or bioanalytical techniques required.

  • Understanding of bioanalytical methods.

  • Strong planning and organisation to deliver work on time.

  • Effective communication and collaboration with peers and teams outside the department to provide customers with the highest service.

  • Logical and organised approach to problem solving.

  • A proactive mindset with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
