We are looking for a talented School to Work - Engineering student to join our team specializing in CAE for our Cummins Inc. facility in Troy, MI.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Problem-Solving: Strong desire to learn and apply simulation-based product validation processes to validate and optimize automotive powertrain components and systems.
• Communication Skills: Written and verbal communication skills for creating reports, presenting findings, and working with teams.
• Teamwork: Ability to work well in collaborative environments with multidisciplinary teams.
Education
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Current Enrollment: You must be a current student in high school or in a college/university pursuing a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Coursework: Courses in solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, materials science, machine design and manufacturing processes.
Experience
Computer-Aided Design (CAD): Knowledge of CAD software like Creo preferred
Simulation and Modelling Software: Experience with simulation tools for Mechanical Engineering such as ANSYS/Mechanical, ALTAIR/Hypermesh, ROMAX etc. preferred
