VACANCY: SCHOOL LIBRARIAN
A reputable British-curriculum private school in Ikeja GRA is seeking a dedicated and
organized Librarian to manage the school's library resources and promote a culture of
reading and independent learning among students.
Key Responsibilities
● Manage and maintain the school library, including cataloguing and stock control
● Assist students and staff in locating and accessing print and digital resources
● Promote reading culture through structured reading programmes and initiatives
● Supervise students during library periods and maintain an orderly environment
● Recommend, acquire, and curate relevant books and learning materials
● Collaborate with academic staff to align library resources with the curriculum
Requirements
● Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Management, or a
related field
● Previous experience in a school library setting is an added advantage
● Familiarity with library management software and digital cataloguing systems
● Strong organizational skills and genuine love for books and learning
● Good communication skills and ability to engage students across different age
groups
● Proximity to Ikeja GRA is key; punctuality is non-negotiable
