Job Responsibilities:

Specific Job Duties

SCADA & Visualization Systems

· Design, develop, deploy, and maintain SCADA applications and visualization platforms.

· Develop production dashboards, KPI displays, and operational reporting tools.

· Standardize HMI and SCADA applications across facilities.

· Support alarm management and operational monitoring systems.

· Improve real-time visibility of manufacturing operations.

Industrial Data & Connectivity

· Develop machine connectivity and industrial data collection solutions.

· Support deployment of industrial historian and manufacturing data platforms.

· Create standardized methods for collecting, organizing, and utilizing manufacturing data.

· Support data integration between production equipment and enterprise systems.

· Assist in developing operational performance metrics and reporting standards.

Manufacturing Systems Integration

· Support integration among PLCs, SCADA systems, MES platforms, ERP systems, industrial databases, and manufacturing data platforms.

· Ensure manufacturing systems align with enterprise OT architecture standards.

· Support implementation of secure and scalable connected manufacturing solutions.

Advanced Manufacturing Technologies

· Support advanced vision and automated inspection systems.

· Assist with AI-enabled manufacturing initiatives and data collection requirements.

· Support deployment of Industry 4.0 technologies and smart factory solutions.

· Participate in proof-of-concept and pilot technology projects.

Standards Development

· Partner with the OT Architect to establish and maintain standards for SCADA platforms, data collection architecture, PLC communications, equipment connectivity, industrial networks, and visualization.

· Drive consistency across all facilities and future projects.

Project Support

· Support Factory of the Future projects from concept through implementation.

· Participate in equipment design reviews and technology evaluations.

· Assist with factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), commissioning, and launch activities.

· Support deployment of new manufacturing technologies and automation systems.

· Develop documentation, training materials, and support procedures.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.

Required

· Five or more years of experience supporting industrial automation, SCADA, or manufacturing systems.

· Experience with industrial networking and communication protocols.

· Experience developing SCADA or HMI applications.

· Experience working with PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment.

· Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Preferred

· Automotive manufacturing experience.

· Experience with Ignition, FactoryTalk View, Wonderware, VTScada, or similar SCADA platforms.

· Experience with SQL databases and manufacturing data systems.

· Experience with MES integration.

· Experience with vision systems and machine learning-based inspection technologies.

· Experience supporting Industry 4.0 initiatives and industrial cybersecurity best practices.

· Experience with Power BI or other manufacturing analytics platforms.
