The Sawmill Oiler is responsible for performing routine lubrication and basic preventative maintenance on sawmill equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. This position supports the maintenance and production teams by keeping machinery properly lubricated, inspecting equipment for potential issues, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities-
Perform routine lubrication of sawmill equipment including bearings, chains, conveyors, and other moving parts.

Follow lubrication schedules and maintenance procedures to ensure proper equipment operation.

Inspect machinery during lubrication rounds and report any unusual wear, leaks, or mechanical issues.

Maintain lubrication equipment and ensure proper storage of oils and greases.

Keep work areas clean and free of debris, sawdust, and buildup around machinery.

Assist maintenance personnel with basic maintenance tasks when needed.

Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Maintain accurate records of lubrication and inspection activities when required.

Communicate with maintenance and production teams regarding equipment conditions.
Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Ability to work safely in an industrial sawmill environment.

Basic mechanical knowledge or willingness to learn equipment maintenance.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including walking, climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.
