Job Title: SATCOM Data Integrity Engineer
Location: Colorado Springs, CO Area
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Provide essential data product independent validation prior to publication for operational use. Provide data validation, integrity, and analysis expertise in support a U.S. Space Force (USSF) Consolidated Satellite Communications (SATCOM) System Expert (C-SSE) payload engineering team. Collaborate with mission partners in communications operations, integrations, cryptographic, help desk, watch officer, ally support and other SATCOM Community of Interest (COI) members. Apply data analysis methods, tools, scripting, and reports allowing government customers to successfully deliver error free and timely operational Global Scenarios (GS) and resultant payload tables, terminal images and reports. Team members track and validate all GS data elements and products. Run GS database comparisons, and engineer, train, maintain and execute advanced procedures using Structured Query Language (SQL), Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Beyond Compare, scripting, bit level comparisons, data parsers and others for development and validation of mission products. Support configuration control across multiple fielded database increments through participation in Configuration Control Boards (CCB), execution of data integrity checks, and focus on process discipline.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years prior experience in data validation, data integrity and/or data analysis with focus on database interactions, comparisons, etc.
- Experience in data analysis tools a must—SQL, Oracle, VBA, scripting, bit level comparisons, data parsers, or similar.
- Must be able to support rotating 24/7 on-call responsibilities and occasional on-site surge to support non-standard work schedules.
- Candidate must reside within commuting distance of Schriever SFB, Colorado. This position is not a candidate for remote/work-from-home accommodations.
- Bachelor of Science in STEM field from an accredited college or university—equivalent certifications and/or work experience in related fields will be considered.
- Experience in DOD SATCOM desired—engineering, development, operations, testing, or training; knowledge of user community, mission planning, apportionment/allocation, etc.
- Comfortably and effectively speak in front of large groups.
- Work effectively as a team member, receiving and providing support, inputs, and direction.
- Strong communication skills and team collaboration required.
- Active US Secret security clearance and ability to obtain Top Secret and SCI eligibility is required.
Reports To: Contract Program Manager
Salary: $85,000 - $100,000/year
