The SAP SCM Business Analyst is responsible for coordination of SAP system activities and operations together with the (key)users within the company. This includes the development, maintenance and improvement of exisiting SAP solutions. You work in close cooperation with other SAP Business Analysts who support the other SAP areas. Besides maintaining the current SAP ECC system, you will play a key role in the transition to SAP S/4 Hana Cloud version. Portugal is the first country in Dawn Foods to start the global S/4Hana implementation.
This role is based in Palmela and reports to the IT Director EU & AMEAP.
Fundamentals of the position:

  • Analyze and assess SAP system processes and functional requirements as well as support the departments with regards to their use of SAP.
  • Design and evaluate process requirements and implement solutions configure, modify and coordinate testing.
  • Research, develop and propose short and long term solutions for SAP system requirements.
  • Respond to reports of operational problems and requests for assistance, analyze and solve current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements.
  • Track and fully document changes, write detailed procedures for permanent records and for use in training.
  • Co-lead the WM and SCM Key User Community, together with Functional Owner.
  • Align, support and keep close contact with your peer SAP Business Analysts with respect to system support, change requests and projects.
  • This role is to support sites across Europe, and occasionally travelling in Europe is required.


To be successful you will bring:

  • Bachelor`s degree in computer science, business informatics or comparable qualification.
  • At least 5-7 years of relevant professional experience with ERP systems.
  • Solid professional experience in SAP-LE module support including configuration, knowledge of interfaces with other areas such as PP, MM, SD.
  • Implementation of at least two full lifecycle implementations as SAP SCM functional consultant.
  • Thorough experience and understanding of warehousing and staging processes of raw materials into production execution and shipping processes. Support provided on the shop floor is considered a plus.
  • EDI knowledge with regards to (finished goods) warehouse.
  • Advanced in English (verbal and written).
  • Strong communication skills are required.
