The SAP Production Planning Super User is a critical resource supporting production planning functions. This role bridges the gap between functional teams and the technical SAP team, ensuring smooth operations, process alignment, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have deep SAP expertise, basic supply chain and operations principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead training, troubleshoot issues, and drive efficiency across the supply chain.

  • Process Governance & Documentation: Map end-to-end planning processes and maintain accurate documentation. Standardize workflows across sourcing, production, demand, and supply planning. Ensure compliance with internal controls and governance standards.
  • Training & Change Management: Develop and deliver training programs for SAP planning functionalities. Act as a mentor and first point of contact for planning teams. Support change management during SAP upgrades or process redesigns.
  • Issue Resolution & Support: Serve as the primary liaison for SAP-related issues within planning groups. Troubleshoot and resolve system errors, data discrepancies, and integration challenges. Escalate technical issues to IT and ensure timely resolution.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Identify opportunities for process automation and system enhancements. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement best practices and optimize planning efficiency. Participate in testing new functionalities and validating system changes.
  • System Testing & Validation: Lead/Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing for SAP upgrades and enhancements for the planning group. Validate configuration changes and ensure alignment with business requirements. Document test results and communicate findings to technical and functional teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sourcing, manufacturing, quality, demand planning, and supply planning teams. Partner with IT, procurement, commercial, operations, and logistics teams to ensure seamless integration. Facilitate workshops and feedback sessions to align business and system needs
