SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Consultant

About the Role

Turium AI is looking for an experienced, implementation-certified SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Consultant to join our Hyderabad team and support the design, configuration, implementation and ongoing improvement of enterprise payroll solutions.

This is a hands-on Employee Central Payroll consulting role. We are looking for someone with strong practical experience implementing and configuring ECP, working directly with payroll stakeholders, resolving complex payroll issues and taking ownership across the full implementation lifecycle.

This is not a general SuccessFactors role or a position focused primarily on high-level architecture, documentation or project coordination.

You will work across SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll, Employee Central, payroll integrations and Turium AI products, helping customers modernise and automate complex payroll processes. You will collaborate with teams across India and Australia and support major enterprise transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead payroll workshops with HR, payroll, finance, IT and business stakeholders.
• Gather payroll requirements and translate them into practical Employee Central Payroll solutions.
• Configure, test and deploy SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll.
• Configure payroll structures, wage types, payroll rules, schemas and related payroll functionality.
• Configure and support payroll control processes and payroll calendars.
• Support integration between Employee Central and Employee Central Payroll.
• Configure and troubleshoot employee master data replication between EC and ECP.
• Support payroll calculations, validations, reconciliation and exception management.
• Investigate payroll defects, identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
• Support statutory and regulatory payroll requirements.
• Prepare configuration workbooks, functional specifications, process documentation and test materials.
• Support payroll data migration, cleansing, validation and reconciliation.
• Design and support integrations between ECP and finance, banking, time, benefits and third-party systems.
• Work with APIs, SAP Integration Suite, middleware and technical integration teams.
• Perform unit, system and integration testing and support payroll parallel testing and UAT.
• Support payroll cutover, go-live, hypercare and post-production stabilisation.
• Support payroll year-end and other critical payroll processing activities where required.
• Deliver customer demonstrations, training and knowledge-transfer sessions.
• Coordinate with distributed delivery teams across Hyderabad, Australia and other locations.
• Identify opportunities to automate payroll and HR processes using Turium AI products and capabilities.

Required Experience

• At least four years of hands-on Employee Central Payroll experience. 
• Current SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll certification or equivalent relevant SAP payroll certification.
• Experience delivering at least two end-to-end Employee Central Payroll implementations, migrations or major upgrades.
• Strong hands-on configuration experience in Employee Central Payroll.
• Strong understanding of the integration between Employee Central and Employee Central Payroll.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, payroll calculations and employee lifecycle events affecting payroll.
• Experience with payroll schemas, PCRs, wage types and payroll configuration.
• Experience with payroll control processes, payroll calendars and payroll execution.
• Experience troubleshooting complex payroll calculation and configuration issues.
• Experience with employee data replication between EC and ECP.
• Experience with payroll data migration, validation and reconciliation.
• Experience supporting payroll testing, including parallel payroll testing and UAT.
• Experience preparing functional specifications and working closely with ABAP, integration and technical teams.
• Understanding of payroll-to-finance integration and posting processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, stakeholder-management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and remain accountable for assigned deliverables.
• Experience working with distributed or offshore delivery teams.

Desirable Experience

• Additional SAP certifications in Employee Central or other SuccessFactors modules.
• Strong experience with Indian payroll and statutory requirements.
• Experience with Australian payroll or other international payroll environments.
• Experience migrating customers from SAP HCM Payroll to Employee Central Payroll.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP or SAP Integration Suite.
• Experience integrating ECP with time-management, finance, banking, benefits and third-party systems.
• Experience with complex payroll environments involving multiple entities, employee groups or countries.
• Experience working with large enterprise or government customers.
• Understanding of payroll privacy, security, audit and data-residency requirements.
• Experience supporting customers across Australia, India or other international markets.
• Interest in applying AI and intelligent automation to payroll processes.

We are looking for a genuine Employee Central Payroll specialist, rather than a general SuccessFactors consultant with limited exposure to payroll.

You should be comfortable getting directly into the system, analysing payroll results, configuring payroll functionality and working through complex payroll issues.

You will need to communicate confidently with payroll teams, HR stakeholders, finance teams, developers and integration specialists and take ownership from requirements gathering and configuration through testing, parallel payroll, go-live and post-production support.
