Job Overview: We are looking for SAP Senior Technical Consultant - Japanese Speaker to be working on our Japan projects with the possibility of relocating to Japan.

Position: SAP Senior Technical Consultant
Modules: ABAP/ BTP/ BDC
Locations: Japan (On-site), Malaysia (Hybrid), India (Hybrid), Indonesia (Remote), Philippines (Remote), Thailand (Remote), Vietnam (Remote)

Working Mode: Flexible working arrangements (hybrid or remote) are available, and relocation to Japan is possible for selected candidates

Key Responsibilities for ABAP:

  • Analyze functional requirements, create technical design and approach for complex IT solutions.

  • Implement solutions independently using state-of-the-art programming languages (ABAP 7.4+, CDS, SAPUI5, Java Script) and tools (SAP Web IDE, Eclipse, ABAP Workbench).

  • Participate in an Agile software development cycle and collaborate with project managers as well as functional counterparts.

  • Write technical documentation and test scripts.

  • Share knowledge and experience with colleagues.

  • Contribute to cbs best practices and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities for BTP:

  • Design, develop, and deploy full-stack applications using SAP BTP CAP (Node js, or Java), SAPUI5, and the Flexible Programming Model.

  • Build workflows and process automations using SAP Build Process Automation.

  • Develop applications and extensions using SAP Work Zone, SAP BTP services, and integration capabilities.

  • Collaborate with functional teams, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable BTP solutions.

  • Ensure solution quality through coding best practices, performance tuning, and proper documentation.

  • Participate in end-to-end project lifecycle including design, development, testing, and deployment.

  • Support presales activities such as solution demos, effort estimation, and proposal inputs (if required).

  • Work efficiently with Git pipelines, CI/CD processes, and cloud deployment methodologies.

Key Responsibilities for BDC:

  • Lead design and solutioning for planning, forecasting, and forecast adjustment implementations that support critical KPIs.

  • Drive data architecture design, data cleansing, and data migration initiatives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect and understand comprehensive data requirements.

  • Analyze and interpret data to empower business decision-making.

  • Provide expert technical guidance on SAP BI/BW, Datasphere, SAC, and related data projects.

  • Build efficient, reusable CDS Views to enhance analytics and reporting capabilities.

  • Mentor junior consultants and foster knowledge sharing.

We are looking for:

  • A Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in a technology-related discipline (such as Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) is mandatory.

  • Fluent in Japanese (JLPT N2) and English (verbal and written) is a must.

  • At least 5 years of experience in any of these SAP Technical modules: ABAP/ BTP/ BDC.

Key Requirements for ABAP:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an SAP ABAP developer in customer projects or a similar environment.

  • Applicants with HCM experience are preferred.

  • Knowledge in other programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS or in topics such as HANA, SAPUI5, XSLT, Java, etc.

  • Having skills in Data Migration (LTMC/LSMW), AIF, Process Integration/Orchestration, Cloud Platform Integration, Business Technology Platform, Fiori development would be an advantage.

  • Special matter expert knowledge in enhancing e. g. MDG Master Data Governance, GTS Global Trade Service, eWM (Warehouse Management), TM (Transport Management) desirable.

  • Basic knowledge in using at least one SAP module in the areas of logistics or finance.

  • Exposure to Agile Scrum methodologies beneficial.

  • Work independently and organize one’s tasks.

  • Interest in projects using the newest technologies.

  • Desire for a dynamic and prestigious work environment.

Key Requirements for BTP:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP BTP development with at least two full-stack BTP custom application implementations.

  • Strong expertise in:

    • SAPUI5 Freestyle

    • SAP Fiori elements/ Flexible Programming Model

    • SAP CAP (Node js, or Java)

    • SAP BTP services

    • Build Process Automation

    • SAP Work Zone

  • Good understanding of Git pipelines, version control, and BTP cloud architecture.

  • Experience with ABAP and RAP is an added advantage.

  • Experience in other cloud application development (Node js Java, JS frameworks) is a plus.

  • Exposure to BTP presales activities is an added advantage.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and distributed team environment.

Key Requirements for BDC:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing BI/BW solutions, including SAP BW on HANA or BW/4 HANA, or at least 3 years with Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud.

  • Strong functional and technical experience.

  • Deep knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning, including data integration, data modeling, planning models, stories, and reports.

  • Proven expertise with CDS Views and SAP data modeling techniques.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to solve complex problems under tight timelines.
