SAP Senior ABAP Developer

Responsibilities:

• Develop, build, test, and maintain SAP ABAP programs including reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and data conversions.

• Execute approved SAP development change requests and projects based on business and functional requirements.

• Identify and implement solutions to optimize SAP application performance and efficiency.

• Collaborate with developers, functional consultants, and SAP teams to ensure quality and alignment with business needs.

• Apply secure coding practices to reduce vulnerabilities and ensure system integrity.

• Support testing, defect resolution, knowledge transfer, and go-live activities.

• Analyze, resolve, and escalate SAP incidents and problems, ensuring clear communication and documentation.

• Proactively identify opportunities for system improvements, process efficiencies, and application enhancements.

• Maintain accurate technical documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Stay updated on SAP developments, support shift-based operations, and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• 3–5 years of experience in SAP support or project implementation, particularly in ABAP and/or S/4HANA.

• Proficient in ABAP programming across SAP FI, SD, and MM modules; IS-Automotive (VMS/Warranty) is a plus.

• Skilled in ABAP objects such as BADIs, User Exits, BAPIs, IDOCs, SmartForms, ALV, BDCs, and Data Dictionary.

• Familiar with SAP PI/PO, HR ABAP, ABAP Web Dynpro, and Java Web Dynpro (beneficial for future development).

• Experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA platforms.

• Knowledgeable in software development life cycle and testing methodologies.

• ITIL v4 certification is an advantage.

• Strong technical and analytical skills in SAP customization, configuration, and report/form development.

• Effective communicator with good organizational skills and proficiency in standard business software.
